Thank you to all that helped burn the ditch on hole #6 this past Saturday! Should look great come Spring.
Attention All Members!!
The annual Stockholder’s Meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 13, starting at 6:00pm. Every member is encouraged to attend so they can hear what the Board has done so far this year, plans for next year, and to vote on new Board members.
We will have two openings for Board members – Jess Frank and Eric Sinn will be ending their 3-year terms. If you are interested in being on the Board, please email the course at CVGC2017@gmail.com by November 6.
Also, the course is starting to assemble a construction/renovation committee that will be tasked with planning and implementation of updating the clubhouse. Open to all members – please email the course if you would like to be a part of this committee.
If you think you have lost anything at the course over the last few months, stop out and take a look. Anything left after the stockholder’s meeting will be thrown away.
Fall Clean-Up will be Saturday, October 10, starting at 8:00am. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the backup date is October 17.
We are asking for as many members as are able to help with removal of several trees and trimming existing trees. The trees that will be removed are on the 8 and 9 fairways. There are also many other yearly items that need to be done (hole signs removed, benches stored, etc.).
Things we need:
· Multiple pickups and trailers to haul the downed trees away
· Multiple chainsaws and skilled people to run them (anyone have experience in dropping trees?)
· And as many people as possible – many hands make light work!
Please contact Al Neis as soon as possible if you are able to help out with any of the above on October 10th. Email A.firstname.lastname@example.org or text your name and number to 507-251-6609 and let him know what you can help with and/or are able to bring.
This will be a big project and your help is truly appreciated!
The great Chili/Soup Cook-Off/Tournament will be Saturday, October 3, at 1:00pm.
This is a 9-hole, 2-person, best ball tourney. There will be 3 divisions for the cook-off ~ men, women, and couples.
Bring out your famous chili or soup and wow everyone! Lots of 6-packs given away!
Find the registration forms on the Calendar and Tournament Info page of the website or see Mike at the clubhouse.
This year’s night golf will be Saturday, August 29, starting at 8:00 (dusk).
Grab your friends, your light up balls, decorate your carts (glow sticks and other lights necessary for safety reasons), and enjoy a unique experience.
We will have limited amounts of light up balls and glow sticks available for purchase that night.
Sign-up for the fun at the clubhouse or come on out that night. See you there!!
